At the present time we are not gathering on Wednesdays for community meals, in-person worship, and other events due to Covid-19 precautions. Please join us on Zoom for an informal Prayer Gathering every Wednesday evening from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m. All are welcome.
Prayer Gathering 6:30pm-7:00pm Wednesdays
Though scattered, we are gathered in prayer in the name of the one from whose love and belonging nothing can separate us.
To connect by phone (audio only): Call (346) 248-7799, and when prompted enter the Meeting ID: 130 214 408
What to Expect
Regardless of where you are in your spiritual journey, we invite you to join us as we walk with Christ together, seeking the One who has the answers to life’s dilemmas and can provide the peace that passes all understanding. Our hearts, our minds, and our doors are always open.
Wednesday Evening Community Meal
Each Wednesday dinner is offered at 5:30. The meal is catered for us by Acadiana Café. The suggested donation is $7 for adults and $3.50 for children. Reservations are helpful, but not necessary.
Wednesday Evening Worship
Wednesday night worship is held in Scott Chapel. Dress is casual. Holy Communion is always a part of the service. Preaching is shared among laity and clergy.
In addition to the community meal and worship, you may also wish to participate in these Wednesday evening events.
Children’s choirs rehearse on Wednesday evenings. Joyful Noise choir, for 3- to 5-year-olds, meets at 6:00 pm and Laurel Choir, for kindergarten to 2nd grade, meet at 6:30 pm. Each choir meets in Room 313-A (glassed room on third floor above the dining room). David Lindquist and Katie DeLaVega Lindquist are so excited to continue growing children’s music at Laurel Heights.
