Today we discuss Chaim Potok’s The Chosen.
This novel, first published in 1967, explores the tensions and conflicts within the small Hassidic community of Jewish Orthodoxy. The story follows two boys who start out as enemies and end as friends and defines the difficulties of raising children in such insular societies.
