Drop off your donations of socks or underwear at the above location Tues.,Thurs. and Sun. after 4pm.
Church Under the Bridge
1st Thursday of the Month
CUB, (Church under the Bridge), an ongoing mission of LHUMC, serves 200 people daily at the feeding ministry located on Chestnut Street, San Antonio. Laurel Heights provides sandwiches, fruit, and individually wrapped dessert items once each month.
To Get Involved: Bring donations of sandwiches, fruit, or dessert items to Julie Mazel in the Woodlawn parking lot at 3pm on the 1st Thursday.
There is a current need for donations of hygiene items (toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, etc.).

Christian Assistance Ministry
Various Ongoing Opportunities
CAM is a cooperative ministry of 65 member churches in San Antonio to provide immediate temporary assistance to individuals in crisis situations, encouraging self-sufficiency.

Project Transformation
School Year Opportunities
Project Transformation is an out-of-school program that focuses on helping students maintain and improve their reading skills.
Volunteer with our After School Program. Be a virtual Reading Buddy with PT After School. Opportunities are Tuesday and Thursday 4:30-5:30 via Zoom.

Interfaith Welcome Coalition
Various Ongoing Opportunities
The Interfaith Welcome Coalition (IWC) was formed in the summer of 2014 to advocate and care for women and children coming to Texas from Central America seeking asylum. IWC continues to welcome immigrants and asylum seekers from around the world, assisting them as they travel through our city.

Note Writers
Offer support and care to persons who are home-bound, experiencing illness, or other circumstances where a word of care is encouraging.
Service in Worship
Chancel Choir, Ushers and Greeters, Liturgists, Communion Servers, and Acoyltes…there are multiple ways to assist in the service.
Altar Guild
The Altar Guild is responsible for maintaining the Sanctuary furnishings such as altar cloths, candlesticks, and preparing the Communion elements.
Church Mice
Dedicated group of men and women who gather from 9 a.m. until noon on Thursday mornings to build, repair, care, and help around the church.
Care & Concern
Volunteers provide hospitality for bereaved families who are having a funeral or memorial service at Laurel Heights.
