MEXICO MISSIONS WITH WILLIE BERMAN

Willie Berman, who is the Mexican Mission Coordinator for the General Board of Global Ministries in Reynosa, Mexico, will be our guest speaker at both services Sunday, September 20. His wife, Veronica, will be here, too.

His mission work with Manos Juntas Ministry (Hands Together) which has the goal of providing better housing, healthcare and educational opportunities for those in need in the Eastern Conference of Mexico, will be one focus of his time with us. Willie alsojoins hands with the Methodist Border Friendship Commission and the Personal Energy Transportation for the Mobility Impaired (PET).

A picture is worth a thousand words — Willie will show pictures of Mexico missions and will have Methodist crosses in various plaques, and other items, at a sale price of $10 to $15, to benefit those in Mexico who desire self-employment. This will probably take place in the dining hall, but
check your Sunday bulletin for time and place, or call the church office, 733-156.

Let’s give Willie Berman a big Laurel Heights welcome as he comes to share his compassion and enthusiasm for God’s work in Mexico!
